Keith B. Evans
Keith's photographs of architecture and the worlds everyday flotsam and jetsam capture the beauty of the unnoticed world and the world that surrounds us everyday. With a sensitive eye they embody a minimalist beauty and rich, saturated colors.

Simple Progress
Greetings friends!
Well the Simple Gallery benefit was a wonderful first event. I have learned new things and have gotten a wonderful response from artists as well as some great encouragement from the public. I have been looking at a few spaces though I don't foresee a move until closer to fall/winter '09-'10. Many artists have gotten in touch with me about showing their work when the gallery opens and I am delighted by the amount of interest! I enjoy studio visits and talking with artists about their work, this is the main reason I am starting Simple Gallery. It also says to me that artists are eager to bring their work into the public sphere, showing in a place they feel comfortable. Simple Gallery is about leaving the pretension at the door. I hope to be doing some more studio visits soon and will post some photos and interviews with these artists.
More soon...
Thanks for reading everyone!

Simple Gallery is an exhibition and project space that was founded in late 2008 and hopes to have a permanent home in late 2009. Our goal is to foster experimentation and discourse in the arts through a variety of programming such as an artist in residence program, open critiques, artist lectures and symposia and other community events. This is our gallery blog where you can get current and frequent updates on projects, events, exhibitions and our progress on finding a real home.
